Daniel Chong

A student from San Diego who is 23 years, Daniel Chong, denounced the DEA (the U.S. drug agency) it was held in a cell at least, incommunicado and without food or drink for five days. Chong was even forced to drink their own urine to survive.

According to his complaint, Young was arrested in a raid in San Diego on 21 April. He had apparently gone to a party where there was a drug raid. He has admitted that the party was smoking marijuana.

DEA officials investigating why so much time remained in the cell and in those conditions. Speaking to the U.S. press, Chong said repeatedly shouted to him taken out. "They ignored my cries and I still do not know what happened," said the student at the University of California at San Diego.

The head of the DEA in San Diego has apologized to the detainee and announced an investigation at one point, Chong-suffering hallucinations being without food and drink your urine, have arrived in removing his glasses to try to slash his wrists .

In the raid in which he was arrested, the DEA agents say they found about 18,000 tablets of MDMA, also known as ecstasy and marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms and several firearms.

"The individual in question (Chong) was in the house to get high with friends," said the statement from the DEA. However, the manager of San Diego, William Sherman, apologized to the detainee. "I extend my most sincere apologies to the young and want to say that this event is not indicative of the high standards I hold my employees."

When finally brought to the cell Chong, had lost much weight, was unconscious and suffered kidney failure, said his lawyer. He was taken to hospital where he spent three days in an intensive care unit.
